Bibbi Forsman och Johan Haugen

Bibbi Forsman och Johan Haugen arbetar på två olika platser, Göteborg oh Malmö, och i två helt olika material. De har följt varandras arbete under flera år och känt stark samhörighet i det som vuxit fram, men aldrig tidigare undersökt hur deras verk kan samspela när de visas i samma rum.

De avbildar inte, men båda utforskar möjliga existenser och livsformer. Det tänkta avståndet till det beskrivna kan vara mycket nära eller mycket långt ifrån, och de arbetar båda intuitivt i sina formvärldar.

Forsmans material är keramik, i unika objekt och mosaikreliefer, Haugen målar i olja på pannå i små och stora format. Haugens titlar visar på andra dimensioner, Forsman förhåller sig tätare till det organiska, två och tredimensionellt. Intentionen är inte att illustrera varandras arbete, utan hitta beröringspunkter i sina respektive arbeten, i linjer, prickar, hål, ytor och färg.

Bibbi Forsman och Johan Haugen

Bibbi Forsman and Johan Haugen work in two different cities, Gothenburg and Malmö,  and in two completely different materials. They have followed each other's work for several years and felt a strong affinity in what emerged, but never before explored how their works could interact when displayed in the same space.

They do not depict, but both explore possible existences and forms of life. The imagined distance to the described can be very close or very far away, and they both work intuitively.

Forsman's material is ceramics, in unique objects and mosaic reliefs, Haugen paints oil on panel in small and large formats. Haugen's titles show other dimensions, Forsman relates more closely to the organic, in two- and three-dimensional pieces. The intention is not to illustrate each other's work, but to find points of contact in their respective works, in lines, dots, holes, surfaces and color.
